Hi this is more of a question and not a review. ..but I am new to dialysis and a renal diet...but I didn't think we were allowed apples? I was given a food list and it's on there. Can someone help me? I have to rate this in order to submit so I'm giving 5 stars because it sounds so delicious. Dietitian comment: Apples are one of the lower potassium fruits and are not restricted on kidney diets. Ask your dietitian why apples are not recommended for your diet.

This is really delicious. I didn't peel the apples - I never do. Increased the cinnamon - I always do. Used natural brown sugar and replaced the white sugar with Splenda, the milk with almond milk (dairy intolerant) and the molasses and corn syrup with maple syrup and honey because that was what I had. It makes a big pudding but it will be gone fast!

I've made this twice this year. First time family & guests loved it either with ice cream or Cool Whip. Second time for friend and her family who also loved it. And I'm making it again for Easter brunch.

This recipe sounds hard but it is really easy (except for peeling the apples). It is wonderful! I followed the recipe exactly. No one could believe it was a "Kidney Friendly" dish. The smell through out the house was mouth watering. I'll definitely make this again. Thanks DaVita
